Old Covenant vs. New Covenant ... or is it?

Is it possible that the modern Church holds to a dichotomy between the Old Covenant people of God and the New Covenant people of God because we hold to a dichotomy between the Old covenant and the New Covenant?

Not infrequently, we hear Christians make statements that separate The people of God in the Old Covenant(OC) from the New Covenant(NC) people of God. The statements usually go something like this; "The OC relationship with God was 'outward and physical' where the NC relationship is 'inward and spiritual' ".

Is this a Biblical view?
What's your take on this?

  1. Here are some thoughts,

THE OLD TESTAMENT(OLD CONTRACT OF LAW WITH ADAM)STARTED WITH ONLY ONE LAW WHICH ADAM VIOLATED AND JUDGEMENT CAME AS STATED IN THE VERBAL CONTRACT. THE PEOPLE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT LIVED UNDER THAT CONTRACT OF OBEDIENCE AND WRATH UNTIL THE WONDERFUL COMING OF THE MESSIAH. "HE WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THERE SINS"(THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN(WRATH) AND EVENTUAL FREEDOM FROM THE SIN NATURE)

THE WRATH OF THE OLD TESTAMENT AGAINST OUR SIN HAS FALLEN ON CHRIST GIVING "GOOD TIDING OF GREAT JOY WHICH WILL BE TO ALL PEOPLE".

FOR THE WICKED THIS ALLOWS FOR A TEMPORARY REPRIEVE FROM GOD'S WRATH UNTIL THE FINAL JUDGMENT.

FOR THE BELIEVER, TOTAL ESCAPE FROM THE WRATH TO COME.(LUKE 3:7)
